Pupil Premium
What is the Pupil Premium Grant?
The Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) is an additional funding to support schools to ensure that children from lower income and other disadvantaged backgrounds have the same opportunities as their peers and that they attain well.
If a child has been eligible for free school meals (FSM) at any point over the past 6 years or has been continuously looked after for at least 6 months (LAC), the school receives an amount per child within their budget.
At Grand Avenue Primary and Nursery School, we work very hard for all our pupils, and especially those who are disadvantaged in any way.
The school reports each year on the allocation of Pupil Premium received, how we spend the Pupil Premium and how we measure the impact on our students. For the year 24-25, we have been allocated £135,420.

What support can the school offer?
At Grand Avenue Primary and Nursery School, we ensure all children, regardless of their background, are able to access quality first teaching, high quality interventions and support across all areas of school life, making progress in line with their peers. We actively promote equality of opportunity for all staff, children and families, enabling all to achieve well.
